TECHNIVITY - THE RELAUNCH

1. Why did this very modest little blog disappear four years ago?

Because, just because.

2. Dude, that's not very helpful. Why are you relaunching your blog now?

There are a few reasons. Balzac waited until he was dead before his

"Dictionnaire des Idées Reçues" could be published. Since, unlike HdB, I am pretty much a regular Joe, I see no reason to sit idly by and not share my two bits' worth. Plus, I'm too lazy not to recycle the name ...

3. Is this a place for you to vent?

It infuriates me to no end to see tech blogger after tech blogger glibly repeat the same ideas, often shallow ones and not very well thought-out. At other times, I quite simply disagree with what they're laying down - and, like all netizens, I reserve the right to disagree in a semi-public forum.

4. So what kind of topics do you intend to tackle?

Well, I have a few posts on the way concerning (1) the allegedly blooming tablet market - Android vs WebOS vs IOS, etc. (2) niggling issues I have with Kindle software in its various hardware-specific incarnations and (3) my quibbles with certain big name non-Amazon ebook providers etc. etc.

Netbooks, tablets, ebooks, ereaders, keyboards, whatever else might strike my fancy, oh my and, yes, from time to time I might link to other sites and even (gasp!) to certain highly recommended ebooks. (Don't worry, I'm not planning to get rich doing this)
